Sisyphus at Work

Boy decides to keep the verdict a secret, but the scenes he devises for his film begin to coincide with his own life. He ascribes acquaintances, friends and loved ones a role in his fantasized film, while in a special friendship with thirteen-year-old Virginia, he makes one last, rebellious journey. Unbeknownst to him, all the characters guide him to the end.

Sisyphus at Work is the new film by director Ramón Gieling (Johan Cruijf – En un momento dado, Erbarme dich – Matthäus Passion Stories, Tramontana, Over Canto). Other cast members besides Johan Heldenbergh, Thekla Reuten and Golden Calf and Theo d’Or winner Hannah Hoekstra are Valentijn Dhaenens and Cécilia Vos.
